BBA, BBM and Integrated programmes are introduced in recent times at undergraduate level courses for the field of management. Gone are the days when commerce students had BA, B.com only as their study options. Time from the 90’s has reached to the year 2015, increasing the popularity of such courses tremendously . Such programmes have added healthy choices to the basket of budding students’ nutrition, who are seeking their wholesome future in the field of management.

Let’s have a look to the basic outline of these courses:

BBA - The Bachelor of Business Administration is abbreviated as BBA, which is a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration for specific concentrations. In most universities, the degree is conferred upon a student after three years of full-time study in one or more areas of business concentrations.

BMS - Bachelor of Management Studies is abbreviated as BMS, is an undergraduate program for those who are interested in pursuing management studies. This full-time three-year degree programme has been introduced in several institutes of the country. This programme has the specialization option in the commencement of 2nd year.

IPM - IPM refers to the Integrated Programme in Management. This programme is aimed at students who have passed out of class XII/Higher Secondary or equivalent from various schools in India. Its duration is of five-years.  It is offered by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

The eligibility criteria 2015 of entrance exam for IIM- IPM,  St. Xaviers- BMS, NIRMA University- BBA, UGAT-AIMA, NMIMS-BBA, Christ- BBM & BBA, Symbiosis Institute - SET and IPU-BBA is given below.

Indore Institute of Management (IIM), Indore - IPM

The eligibility criteria for Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) 2015 is given below

  • For Gen & NC-OBC Category - 60% Aggregate marks in Secondary / X Std / Equivalent and  60% Aggregate marks in Higher Secondary / XII Std / + 2  Level / Equivalent (or)  SAT–1* overall score of 1600 out of 2400
  • For SC, ST and PWD/DA Category - 55% Aggregate marks in Secondary / X Std / Equivalent and  55% Aggregate marks in Higher Secondary / XII Std / + 2  Level / Equivalent (or)  SAT–1* overall score of 1475 out of 2400

ST.XAVIER College

The eligibility for ST.XAVIER's-Bachelors in Management Studies (B.M.S/B.M.M) 2015 is given below

  • Candidates must make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions given below for appearing for the BMS 2015 Entrance Exams. 
  • Candidates belonging to the General Category (GC) whose date of birth falls on or after 1st June 1992 are eligible to appear for the Entrance Exams BMS/BMM 2015.Candidates belonging to the Catholic religious community and SC/ST candidates who are born on or after 1stJune 1990 are eligible to appear for the Entrance Exams BMS/BMM 2015.
  • The date of birth as recorded in the School Leaving Certificate, First Board/Pre-University Certificate/ Birth Certificate issued by a Competent Authority will be accepted. Baptism Certificate is necessary for minority candidates.
  • A candidate must have passed a Qualifying Examinations (QE) or will be appearing for the same in 2015. Those who will be appearing in the QE later than June 30th, 2015 are not eligible to apply for BMS 2015.

NIRMA UNIVERSITY

The eligibility criteria for Nirma University-Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A) 2015 is given below

  • Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination recognized by Nirma University with minimum 60% aggregate marks and English as one of the subjects. 
  • Age of the candidate should not be more than 20 years as on 1st July, 2015.

The eligibility criteria for AIMA-Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A) 2015 is given below

  • The minimum qualification is 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. Students appearing / appeared in 10+2 can also apply.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS)

The eligibility criteria for NMIMS-Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A) 2015 is given below

  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate awarded not eligible) in any stream from a recognized Board at first attempt,  and
  •  Must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with passing in mathematics/ statistics as compulsory subject.

The eligibility criteria for SET-Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A) 2015 is given below

  • Passed XII or equivalent course in any discipline from any recognized Board / Council / University with minimum 50% marks for general (open) category and 45% marks for students of SC and ST category.
  • Qualifying the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), Group Exercise and Personal interview.

The candidates are required to apply and appear for the admission test UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) to be conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on May 10, 2015 at various centers of India.
