The five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first of its kind in India launched by IIM Indore. It has designed outstanding creative programme for management aspirations. It is interesting to note that only IIM, Indore offers this integrated programme in management. Upon successful completion of all program requirements IIM Indore will issue participants the certificate of “Integrated Diploma in Management”.

WHY IPM from IIM, Indore?

 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is given below

  • For Gen & NC-OBC Category - 60% Aggregate marks in Secondary / X Std / Equivalent and  60% Aggregate marks in Higher Secondary / XII Std / + 2  Level / Equivalent (or)  SAT–1* overall score of 1600 out of 2400
  • For SC, ST and PWD/DA Category - 55% Aggregate marks in Secondary / X Std / Equivalent and  55% Aggregate marks in Higher Secondary / XII Std / + 2  Level / Equivalent (or)  SAT–1* overall score of 1475 out of 2400.

Selection Process

The selection for IPM is a two stage process. The details are as follows:

The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application in the prescribed format along with attested copies of all relevant documents and non ‐ refundable application fee through Demand Draft in favor of Indian Institute of Management Indore Payable at Indore

The selection for IPM is a two stage process. The details are as follows:

Stage I: Aptitude Test (AT)

  • Objective-type with a total 100 questions in two broad sections, viz., Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability. The questions in Quantitative Ability will be only from topics studied till Std X.
  • All applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be called for writing the test.

Stage II: Personal Interview (PI)

  • The shortlisted candidates would be called for an interview at one of the 6 interview locations.
  • The final selection will be based on the overall performance of the applicant in AT and PI.

The following ratio is used to arrive at the composite score for final selection.

  • Aptitude Test (AT) 60% (Within test: 60% Quantitative Ability Section and 40% Verbal Ability Section)
  • Personal Interview (PI) 40%
  • The final selection will be based on the overall performance of the candidate in the aptitude tests (AT) and personal interview (PI).

Exam date: For the year 2015-16 the exam will held on 14th May, 2015.

Course Structure for Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)

The Programme would consist of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years with each year having 3 terms of 3 months each. The broad design of the Programme would include education in Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Humanities and Social Sciences setting. Accordingly, 40% of the Programme would focus on subjects related to the following areas:

  • Mathematics, Statistics, Logic and Computer Science
  • Introduction to Literature: Indo-Anglian, British and American
  • Introduction to Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Geology, and Geography
  • Civilization and History (both India and World)
  • Exposure to Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Botany
  • Exposure to Languages: (at least one foreign language and one Indian language)
  • Exposure to Performing Arts and Fine Arts
  • Soft skills: Leadership Development, Personality Development, Team work and Communication

Second Module would consist of all functional areas of management like Accounting, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Decision Science, Operations and Services Management, Marketing, Economics, Information Technology, Communication, Legal Aspects of Business, Ethics, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship. This would account for the next 50% of the course design.

The remaining 10% of the Programme would focus on international exposure and internships in various social organizations in India.

Fees and Accommodation

Tuition fees for the programme for the first 3 years would be about Rs.3,00,000/- per annum and for next two years it would be about Rs.500,000 per annum. Tuition fee does not include boarding and lodging charges. Accommodation would be organized on the campus on a twin-sharing basis for the first 3 years. Single room accommodation would be made available for the 4th and 5th year of the Programme on campus.

Placements

IIM, Indore will provide active support to the students of IPM for appropriate and challenging employment opportunities at the end of the programme and its internship.
