What is the exam pattern for SBI PO?
There will be online objective type Preliminary test followed by online objective Main test and online descriptive test. Main exam will be followed by GD and interview.
The Pattern of Exam:
i. Preliminary Exam
Objective test: The test will be online objective type, consisting of (i) English language(30 questions of 30 marks) (ii) Quantitative aptitude (35 questions of 35 marks) (iii) Reasoning Ability(35 questions of 35 marks). Total 100 questions of 100 marks with duration of 1 hour
ii. Main Exam
- Objective test: The test will be online objective type, consisting of (i) English Language (35 questions of 40 marks) (ii) General/ Banking/ Economy Awareness (40 questions of 40 marks), (iii) Data Analysis & Interpretation (35 questions of 60 marks) (iv) Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude (45 questions of 60 marks). Total 200 marks with time duration of 3 hours.
- Descriptive test: Online Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
Note: There will be a penalty for wrong answer. One-fourth mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
iii. Group discussion (20 marks) and Interview (30 marks)
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and the Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
