TOEFL TIP A DAY : THREE
Writing: Know the types
Quite a few candidates who are good at English writing or are bloggers/writers make the mistake of thinking they can crack the TOEFL’s writing test without much preparation.
TIP: The writing section of TOEFL tests your writing ability with analytical ability. So even if you are a good writer, unless you know the various types of questions asked and understand the parameters, you will never be able to cross this section. This also means that people who have never written professionally before have a fair chance of scoring if they have practised the writing section well.
When you know the question types, you will be able to put your thoughts together in 15-30 seconds and then write/say it in the little time allotted.
