Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is jointly regulated by seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and IISC on rotation basis. GATE 2017 examination is being conducted by the IIT Roorkee. The examination commences for providing admission to M.Tech/M.E programme offered by the IITs, NITs, GFTI and various private institutions. Candidate may get the direct admission to Ph.D programme through GATE Score. Many public and private companies consider the GATE score card for recruitment purpose. GATE 2017 examination shall be held for international candidates in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
Centre:- Burdwan (IIT Guwahati Zone), Dibrugarh (IIT Guwahati Zone) and Gorakhpur (IIT Kanpur Zone) has been added as new centers by the authority.
New Paper:- The XE paper now has a new section on Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (section H). With this the number of sections in the XE paper has increased to eight (A-H).
GATE for International Candidates:- GATE 2017 examination shall be held for international candidates in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
The candidates who are satisfying the eligibility conditions mentioned below are eligible to appear for GATE 2017. The aspirants are advised to match their eligibility with the conditions given below:
